AXEWOUND Drummer's Clinic Posted Online

September 21, 2012

Rockschool, the world's largest rock music examination board, has just published the first of a series of free-to-view videos on their web site of a special drum clinic by top metal drummer Jason Bowld.

With its international reputation and a business which covers the four corners of the globe, Rockschool was recently able to fly Bowld to Hong Kong for two workshops at the Tom Lee Music school to promote the launch of their new 2012 Drum Syllabus. The drum clinic features Jason playing along to the tracks recorded for the new syllabus (some of which he composed) and talking about playing techniques, the music business and being a professional musician.

The first of the videos is now live on the Rockschool web site and shows Jason playing along to his Grade 7 track "Razorhead". Over the next few weeks, Rockschool will publish further new excerpts from Jason's clinic on their web site, with the second part seeing Jason play a Grade 3 track "Fallout".

Bowld's credits include playing with some of the biggest names in rock, including PITCHSHIFTER, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, KILLING JOKE and FIGHTSTAR. He has also co-wrote and produced two albums for the critically acclaimed THIS IS MENACE and is currently working with his new band AXEWOUND, whose debut album will be released on October 1, ahead of a U.K. and American headline tour.
